Dear Auto Racing Fans,

My name is Joel Allen III, I am the president of Allen and Allen Motor Speedway Racing. From the time that I was a little boy I have always had a fascination with cars. Always wanting to know how things worked and the science behind it. My curiosity was only fueled more by my father love of cars, model trains, and science. Yet because of his great love and dedication for cars relentlessly he would work on them from day to night. Knowing that I knew from that moment on that I wanted to work with cars.

In 1999 my father Joel Allen II who is the president of J. Allen Enterprises allowed me to go into business with him. Yet from that point on, my business and hopes towards the future continues to flourish to this day. My business offers fun interactive services that include Slot car racing, Auto racing, Radio control racing, Pinewood derby, and much more.

Also we have educational services that we offer to educate people In Slot Car and RC Racing .We also have added fundraising services to help support schools, churches and hospitals in order to help raise money. Besides our outstanding services, we also have a committed staff that works hard and strives to appease our customers. They are trained to give our customers a since of clarity, while also educating them on cars and meeting the customer needs.

I hope after reading this letter you will consider donating to The International Minority and Women Racing Museum. You will see that my business is not only fun to be a part of but also educational as well. Yet we are always willing to give back to the community whenever we can.

Thank you again for your time and have a wonderful day.

 What It Takes symposiums  2014

What it Takes is a national outreach initiative that connects highly successful minority entrepreneurs, scientists, professional athletes, businessmen, military and medical professionals with hundreds of African-American and Latino males at risk of dropping out of high school. What it Takes fills a motivational void by having these high profile men, many of whom have struggled through the same paths as the target audience (14-18 year olds), reach back and tell them “What it Takes”.
What it Takes emerged from the UYRS’s efforts to interest more inner city students in science, technology, engineering and math through the motorsports industry.
